Unboxing reviews are not for gadgets only. Today we will try a review on Dragon-I glutinous rice dumpling (bak chang). Due to their attractive advertisement, I have decided to give it a try.



Properly the response for glutinous rice dumplings is so overwhelming, so much so that the Noble Dumpling Gift Set is already out of stock in Penang. So I decided to give the Premium Dumpling Gift Set a try. This cost RM70 by HSBC credit card or RM83 normal price.



This Gift Set consist 3 dumplings, 2 big 1 small. The big one is really huge. The packaging is professionally done, but at the end of the day, it is the taste that matter.



The 2 big dumplings are wrapped with lotus leaves. I mistook for lotus leaves glutinous rice, but when I unwrapped it, the dumpling was also wrapped in bamboo leaves. I was truly impressed.

The flavor mixture of abalone, scallops, BBQ pork and salted egg york really make a different. The taste is much better than the chicken dumpling.

This Chicken dumpling is really huge. The emphasis is that the dumplings are without msg, so that the taste is not too salty. However the saltiness is not equally spread over the dumpling, due to its size or maybe they didn’t fry the rice prior to making the dumpling.

I thought this is the Cantonese pillow dumpling, but I was mistaken. It is a sweet dumpling which is made of Japanese Hokkaido red beans and black glutinous rice. If you like sweet, you will love this.
