=Thailand-Bangkok= The Helix Quartier @ Emquartier, The EM District

In The EM District beside Emporium, there is another new building called Emquartier. The Emquartier is divided into 3 sections, namely The Waterfall Quartier, The Glass Quartier and The Helix Quartier.

Gibson came here to hunt for food. So my main focus will be the 6th to the 9th floor of The Helix Quartier. When you walk at this section, you will spiral upwards beginning from the 6th floor right up to the 9th floor without taking the escalator. The restaurants are line up along the “spiral walkway” to create a unique dining atmosphere.

For those restaurants which are located in the outer ring of the walkway, will be able to provide to their costumer a beautiful view of the city of Bangkok.

However, the food is the focus here. According to the mall’s website, their are about 43 restaurants, here is the list:

AMATISSIMO CAFFÉ • AUDREY CAFÉ DES FLEURS • BELLA ROCCA • BELON OYSTER & RAW BAR • BULGOGI BROTHERS • CHARME DE L’ASIE • CHEF MAN • COFFEE BEANS BY DAO • CRAB CLAW • DOONG AROI DED • EIGHTEEN BELOW • EMACK AND BOLIO’S • FOUR SEASONS • FUCHEER • FUJI • FULL FLAVOR • GINZA SHABU-TEN • GRAM GOURMET • HOKKAI DON • JONES & MOWLEM • KUB KAO’ KUB PLA • LA MONITA • LE DALAT • LUK KAITHONG • MAISEN • MELLOW • MOKUOLA HAWAII • MUGENDAI PENTHOUSE • NARA THAI CUISINE • NOVA TEAROOM BY SIGNOR SASSI • OLD PEAK ROAD • POT MINISTRY • RAMEN MISOYA • SAVA DINING ROOM • SCRUFFY APRON • SHIO YOSHOKU • TAJIMA • TENYUU SHO • THE CHOP • WHITE STORY • WINE I LOVE YOU • YOOMOO • ZAICHI

Although the list may be long, but only like 20% of the brands are available here, while the remaining are found in different parts of the building.

Before you start dining, you can ask for the dining guide at information counter which is very helpful.

I took the lift all the way to 9th floor, then slowly walk all the way down and found out that the color of the tiles gradually changes from black to white.

My first stop to eat. White story is a well-known for its bakeries. Due to its creativity and the variety of selection, choices ranging from Italian to Thai, it is no wonder that the restaurant is always packed.

Rice with Baked Pork 150 Baht

Gibson ordered Rice with Baked Pork, although it looks very western, but the taste is so oriental. Besides, this dish not too oily.

This tiny carrot are cute, I thought it was a chili.

Spaghetti Olio Olive Oil 155 Baht

A very common dish, but my first bite was so spicy yet delicious. A lesson to learn, never judge a book by its cover.

The chef hid all the good stuff underneath the pasta. Gradually revealed are olives, basil, garlic, broccoli and mushrooms.

This Black Olive Focaccine is free, but if you decide to buy, they will serve you a better portion.

Black Olive Focaccine Big 65 Baht Small 45 Baht

Black Olive Focaccine is solid but soft, if you like to munch some bread, this is a good one.

Orange Brioche 50 Baht

Orange Brioche is as beautiful as it tastes, I was speechless.

Butter Toast 95 baht

It seems this White Story is a signature dish of the restaurant. When you search the #whitestory hashtag in the social media, most of the photos you get are Butter Toast.

I was planning to get a taste of the Horlicks cake, but unfortunately it was out of stock.

Muffin Box 50 baht

A box of muffin to go, only 50 baht. Which offer 4 flavors, banana, black sesame, taro and custard.

So much talk about food that I almost forgot to mention that I pick this restaurant because of its beautiful view. A garden view for lunch, how nice.

Just outside the restaurant there is the famous ice cream from USA, Emack and Bolio's. Well, I have to reserve some space in my stomach for the next stop. I had no other choice but to turn and look the other way. :P

Next stop is Amatissimo Café, according to bloggers in Thailand, this café offer the best croissant in Bangkok, but I came here for the variety of bakeries, and also the beautiful setting of the table.

Don’t you think that the table setting is simple but elegant?

A variety of choices for food lovers.
