Full price for the freshness, half price to save the earth from food wastage. This is how the Eastern and Oriental hotel serves the best for their guests while being environmental friendly.

Sarkies Corner at the heritage wing of Eastern and Oriental hotel serves fresh pastries daily, so the best time to come is after 11am, when they start to accept orders. RM14 for a piece of cake is more than reasonable by hotel standards. Furthermore, you get a 50% discount after 6pm for the same delicious piece of cake at only RM7. This applies to all the other pastries. You can order the set cake and coffee for RM18 only throughout the day.

Peach Tart

The tart crust is flaky and sweet, when taking a bite you will get a delicate balance of taste of everything. This is absolutely Gibson’s favorite.

Passion Fruit Tart

The combination of both coconut and passion fruit in a tart, brings out the natural sweetness of both the fruits, while having a unique coconut texture.

Baked Cheese Cake

If you like sweets and cheese, this is your best choice. The cheese is rich and substantial, so you can expect the cake can be quite tough, but its worth “digging in”.

Lavender Opera

If lavender and white chocolate are your favorites, you will not go wrong with this cake, but Gibson found it too sweet for his taste. However, according to his friend the cake with coffee is a good combination.

Chewy Chocolate Brownie

Bittersweet taste and the brownie is a mouthful of chewy walnut.

Chocolate tart

Comes with Macaron, the bitterness of the dark chocolate is too overwhelming for Gibson, but for those who love dark chocolate, this is a sure thing.
