When you are in George Town, besides heritage buildings, the nostalgic taste bud is something you should be looking for, especially this Hing Kee Restaurant. Since 1907 they started selling Cantonese food, and their business survive for five generations, their high standards of home cooking never fail to amaze the food hunters.
I like Egg and Bitter Gourd because of its bittersweet, and you can expect the exact taste as you remember back home here.

When ordering this dish, we thought it is the famous Cincalok pork, but it turned out to be something even more exciting. According to the owner, this is Hong Kong style shrimp paste, where you get the taste of saltiness, but not overwhelming, just nice to eat with rice.
The most common dish around, but I don’t fancy the salted fish, not powerful enough.

Honestly, this is not the best Promfret in town, if you even try the deep fried Promfret in the Malay stalls, you will know what I mean, so I will skip this in the future.
Nice soup, if you like the sweetness from the old cucumber and pork.
