=Thailand-Bangkok= Desserts Haven @ EmQuartier, The EM District

Terminal 21 used to be a haven for desserts. However, the Emquartier has overtaken and become a new center for dessert lovers.

Gibson had already talked about The Helix Quartier at Emquartier a few days back. Today we are revisiting the same place, but different parts of the mall, which is the Gourmet Market & FoodHall. Please take note that there is another Gourmet Market & FoodHall at Emporium; don’t go to the wrong one.

You will find many counters that sell macaroon. Gibson just loves this RADI, because each macaroon only costs 50 Baht (about RM5.70). You can get as many choices of flavor, plus many cute designs too. From Doraemon to Line’s pet. So cute that no one can resist.

The cupcakes also look good and they only costs 55 Baht each. You get a discount by buying more.

These cutie pigs are pineapple cookies. 90 Bath per box.

Flower design for cookies too.

Mango with glutinous rice? You can get such a dish almost anywhere in Bangkok. Here it is sold for 120 Baht per set.

This is Kanom Bueang, which means snack pancake in Thai. A very common delicacy in Bangkok. The crispy pancake taste like our Apom, but the topping comes with 2 flavors, sweet and shrimp. The shrimp flavor taste like sugar with garlic, kind of weird.

The famous Japanese franchise -- Croissant Taiyaki, which is the combination of Croissant and Taiyaki. They offer 3 flavors here, the red bean which cost 60 Baht, cold custard for 65 Baht and ham-cheese for 70 Baht. Each costumer is limited to 6 pieces.

While in queue for the Croissant Taiyaki, you are able to witness the product in process.

I was here for about an hour, however the queue continues.

Just take BTS to Phrom Phong station, you are already right in-front of the mall.

Address: 637 Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok
Opening Hours: 10am - 10pm daily

The price list presented here is as on 17th June, the day when I visited the mall; when the exchange rate was RM1 to 8.80 baht.
