Raya special recommendation, a non-pork serving seafood restaurant in Tanjung Bungah. This 2020 seafood restaurant is quite near to Gibson’s home. Since their opening, Gibson used to dine here. However, their price has gone way too high and Gibson has since stop going there. Gibson decided to give it another try when his mom out of the blue visited him. To my surprise it was not as expensive as it used to be, but neither is it that cheap. Considering the price the food was not at all disappointing, as they managed to maintain their high standard.
This is Gibson’s favorite dish, the saltiness of salted egg enhanced the taste of the crab. However, the crabs we got were not meaty and juicy enough. I can’t remember if we had 3 or 4 crabs, but this plate of crabs costs RM72.
Steam prawn with egg, simple yet delicious. Compared to the expensive crab, this prawn only costs RM30, which would be the better choice.
This stingray not the “Hang Nga Hu” that we are used to. This species of stingray is called “qi” in Hokkien. Its flesh is thinner and smoother. Just steam it and add some special Bangkok sauce, a great dish.
A common vegetable dish, but my mother complained about its texture, it was too tough.
It doesn’t look pleasant, but it was the best dish of the day that goes very well with steamed rice, yet this tasty dish only costs RM12.
