The mentioned of Betong, Thailand most will insist that chicken rice is a must to try. It is believed that chickens in the highland are generally healthier and tastier. Gibson and friends were led by the locals to Yin Dee restaurant that is well known for its chicken rice. Although they are in the business for years, surprisingly you can’t find any information about this restaurant in the internet.
The only thing worth mentioning about the chicken rice here is that it is not oily at all. However, Gibson will not travel all the way just for this chicken rice. Do expect a very dry rice to eat and as far as he is concerned, the chicken isn’t that all special. A plate of chicken rice costs 50 Baht (around RM5.60).
Compared to the chicken rice, this fried salted pork is much more appetizing.
The chili sauce here added bean paste to enhance the flavor.

This restaurant is located in the town of Betong, although a proper address cannot be provided, but it is not too difficult to find with some help from the local.
Operating Hour: Daily Lunch 8am-2pm Dinner 5pm-8pm
The price list presented here is as on 30th July, the day when I visited the market; when the exchange rate was RM1 to 9 baht.
