=Thailand-Bangkok= SamYan Market

SamYan Market has 2 attractions for the locals, which are the Steak and Khun Jieb, who is the owner of a famous vegetable stall.

Gibson came to the market with Chef Watpusit Ayasanond, who is also the general manager of Naj Exquisite Thai Cuisine, to buy the ingredients for Pad Thai. So Gibson didn’t have a chance to try the steak on the first floor of the market. However, he managed to meet Jieb not in person but from a LCD TV that showing several recipes being prepared by her in her stall.

Jeib provides her customers the idea of what to cook for the day, how fascinating and thoughtful? That’s why Gibson has to “Login” here.

As you can see, all the vegetables in Jieb’s stall are well organize, while shopping you can watch Jieb’s cooking show to get an idea of what to cook for the day.

Besides the thoughtful Jieb, the market is very clean too.

Later, Gibson discovered that the cleanliness of the market is being maintained by the hidden heroes. They clean the floor so regularly that you do not find any floor that is wet.

Another convenience here is that trolleys are provided just like in the supermarket.

The photographs of the owners are on their signboard, making it easier for the customers should they need to contact the owners or even make a complaint.

Tau Pok in Thai is sold by the “garland”.

These are crab meat.

Sam Yan market in Central Bangkok, established in 1965, but later move to the present location, has a great selection of fresh fish.
