=Penang= Old Shanghai Restaurant @ Chime Heritage, Jalan Bawasah **Closed**

Old Shanghai is a Shanghai Dim Sum & Authentic Cuisine restaurant in Jalan Bawasah, Penang, which is one of the Gibson’s favourite restaurants in Penang. This is the revisited post for Old Shanghai, and after a year they have a few new entries to their menu and there is a slight change to the taste.

Chinese Pancakes RM6
Each serving comes with 6 pieces of pancakes that is accompanied with sweet chilli paste. Gibson likes to dip with soup before eating.

Boiled fish with pickled cabbage noodle RM7.90
As you can see in the picture, the fish is very fresh and tender, and the sourness with a spicy touch do enhance your appetite.

Stewed pork cubes with rice RM9.90
Perfectly stewed pork belly that is served with rice and cabbage can be a very simple dish but yet delicious, as long as they know how to stew the pork right, so far Gibson has no complaints about it here.

Spicy meat noodles RM12
This noodle is available since day one, but it is not as spicy as when they first introduced the dish. Yet it is still a nice bowl of hot noodles for you to enjoy.

Steamed Stuffed Bun RM15
Steamed Stuffed Bun or mini soupy bun is a well-known Shanghai delicacy where you need to suck out the soup from inside the bun before consuming it with shredded ginger and vinegar. It is still one of the best dishes to try, and each order comes with 6 buns.

Drunk Chicken RM12
Used to be aromatic, but now there is hardly any rice wine flavor. However, the meat is still soft and tender. Still recommended.

Sauce Duck RM12
The duck served with sweet sauce, so it goes well with steamed rice.

Tiger Roll RM8
The dish name may sound meaty, but this is a roll filled with vegetables. A very refreshing and crunchy experience.

Snow Mei Niang RM8
Each serving comes with 4 “snow ball” which has an ice cream texture that is mixed with Mango.

Osmanthus wine meatballs RM2
A meatless hot dessert. The meatballs are actually glutinous rice ball.

Mango Thin Meal RM10
A very interesting dessert which taste a bit like our Sesame Glutinous Ball, but enhanced with coconut and mango.
