=Food Hunt= Pocha Korean Restaurant @ Ampang

There is a Korean restaurant with the name Pocha in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur that serves delicious Korean food at affordable prices, when Gibson describes it as affordable, it is literary means cheap. However, the location of the restaurant is a bit hard to spot, and the interior of the restaurant looks like a worker's hostel to him.

Even the food that is served here are not that presentable, but Gibson can assure you that some of the food here tastes better than any of the many luxurious looking Korean restaurants, and they are quite generous with the ingredients. Gibson has been told by his colleague that name Pocha is short for pojangmacha, which actually means street food vendor. Since they can’t sell on the streets here, so they make it indoors.

Steam Egg RM10
Nicely steamed and served piping hot.

They only served 4 side dishes (Ban Chan) during our visit and FOC as well.

Kimchi Soup RM14
Served with steamed rice and has a lot of pork in the soup.

Stir Fried Korean Rice Cake (Dderk Bokgi) with Ramen RM15
The usual sweet and spicy, but adding in the Ramen is really a good idea.

Spicy Stir Fried Seafood RM25
Gibson prefers the rice cake over this, not really recommended.

Deep Fried Pork RM30
This is Korean Style Sweet and Sour Pork, but the sauce way too sour. However, the pork is nicely fried, which is crispy on the outside while juicy inside.

Seafood Pancake (Pa Jeon) RM18
Almost half the price when compared to many other Korean restaurant, but the amount of spring onions and seafood is way much more than the ones that charge double the price.

BBQ Pork Belly RM30
Although not BBQ on our table like the others restaurant, but the pork is as good as you can get. Thumb ups.

The menu here is mainly in Chinese with little English translation, even the receipt is in Korean.
