Do you know why the Ramadan buffet being offer by the hoteliers are always a good deal? The answer is because besides all the ordinary dishes, many of the hotels will add in extra local dishes for the festive season, which means you pay the same price with additional selections, and Eastern & Oriental Hotel has one of the best to offer if you are just wondering.
With the theme of Selera Kampung, the Ramadan buffet will starts from 6th June to 5th July at Sarkies restaurant and will rotate their menu daily. The buffet is priced at RM133.30 nett per person and RM60.95 nett for children aged between 6 & 12, whereas children below 6 years old get to dine for free.
First stop, the Bubur Lambuk (Ramadan Porridge).
Then the roasted whole lamb.
Even the Papaya Salad (SomTum) is in the list.
Satay.
Teh Tarik.
Some local drinks and fruit juices.
Roti Canai and Murtabak fillings.
Now turn to the Seafood counter, we are lucky on Tuesday where we get the snow crabs.
Japanese Sashimi and Sushi.
Here are some cooked oysters and fish.
Now back to the usual dishes, get started with the cheese counter.
Some breads.
Some local crackers and delicacies.
Salad and pickles.
Ulam (Malay Salad) with some nice Sambal selections.
Local and western appetizers.
Now are the main dishes.
Soup of the day.
Local meat dishes.
Roasted duck is a must eat dish here.
Some roasted meats, but the beef can be quite tough.
