=Food Hunt= Bak Kut Teh at Bar°n Mont Kiara

Everyone knows that the best Bak Kut Teh in the country are mostly from KL, but Gibson never expected to enjoy a claypot of Bak Kut Teh in a bar-like restaurant that serves great wine, and this is also their best-selling dish, yes I am talking about Bar°n at Mont Kiara.

When Gibson tried their SioBak (Crispy Pork Belly) in their Penang outlet, it was love at first bite, that’s why going to their main outlet is like making a pilgrimage to food heaven, and the Bak Kut Teh didn’t turn him down.

Claypot Bak Kut Teh RM35
Gibson liked what they stated in the menu “Just cos we’re not a kopitiam, doesn’t mean we can’t make a mean bak kut teh. Try it, and you’ll be ‘bak’ for more”.

Smoked Salmon Platter with Olives RM49
Maybe look pricy at first sight, but the moment you take a bite, you can immediately get the taste of quality.

Texan Beef Ribs RM78
Although they are good with local food, but they also prove that they can good at the upscale dishes as well, like beef ribs. As stated in the menu, this huge beef ribs are charbroiled in their special BBQ sauce. If you like coriander, this is what you should order, the herb and the meat are a perfect match.

Chocolate Volcano RM29
It’s a spectacular volcanic moment when you break the cake, the chocolate inside just erupts by surprise, and it served with a scoop of Haagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream, how nice!

Gibson did a little wine hunting here and found out they have some nice France vintage wines, which are the Chateau La Lagune 2006 (Left) and Cos D'Estournel 2007, both of this wine costs over RM1000, premium as promised.

If you are looking for some affordable wine, can try on some good Chile wine, Alto is one of them, for this Carmenere 2015 only sell at RM85 per bottle.

Another recommended French wine by the BAR°N is Peyruchet Bordeaux 2014, affordable at RM115 per bottle.

Gibson like sweet, these Georgian wines are sweeter than Moscato, and available in white and red, but pricier than Moscato.

This main outlet is so much bigger than the outlet in Penang, where you can choose to be outdoors or indoors, which are divided into few sections with different moods. So here is an ideal hang out place for loners as well as for a group of friends.

With their huge selection of wines and champagnes, Gibson has no reason not to have a relax moment.
