=Penang= Limited Time Only Northern Thai Cuisine Available in International Buffet @ Spice Market Café, Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa

Have you ever tried Northern Thai cuisine, how about trying it out all in one meal, or better still in one plate? Then you shouldn’t miss the daily buffet at Rasa Sayang Hotel in this fabulous month of June.

Rasa Sayang Hotel has invited guest chefs from Shangri-La Hotel, Chiang Mai to introduce the unique flavours of Northern Thai cuisine at the Spice Market Café, in addition to all the usual buffet spread. This special treat will last until the end of the month.

Chef Damrongsak Khammonghon and Chef Pratthung Taka, with a combined experience of 28 years in Thai cuisine, will feature the famous Chiang Mai Curry Noodles with Braised Chicken Drumstick, Chiang Mai Deep-Fried Chicken with Herbs, Thai Spicy Prawns with Lemongrass and Prawn Salad with Shallots just to name a few.

Some may wonder that what is the differences between the south and north of Thai cuisine. So this is a good opportunity to discover for yourself the difference. However, according to the chefs, the key in preparing authentic Thai cuisine is using fresh ingredients that are cultivated in highland areas in its native region. They will prepare all dishes in the exact same manner as they do back home, so you can enjoy the texture, presentation and taste as if you’re in Chiang Mai.
