=Penang= Omakase Menu at Kazumasa Japanese Cuisine, Fettes Park

Due to Japanese ingredients is directly import to Penang in the recent years, we are now not only having Japanese ingredient store, our Japanese restaurants is now able to offer Japanese Omakase menu with fresh ingredients, which offering a better option for the local high-end food and beverage market. Kazumasa Japanese Cuisine restaurant in Fetes Park is one of the good example.

It was a birthday treat by Gibson's friend, we ordered the cheapest lunch menu, RM288 per person and need to add in 10% services charge when you pay. If you are Mr. Rich, you can opt for 388, 488,588, or even 788 at your pleasure.
First course in the menu is 3 appetisers, the chef did explain all the ingredients and cooking method, Gibson is too old to remember all. Since this is an Omakase menu, no point for us to go into detail.
Chef recommended to start with the cold Tofu, then the snail, in case you can't see clearly, Gibson attached with an enlarge version for your pleasure. To be frank, snail is only for tasting purpose, the best appetiser is the seaweed, a mouthful of flavour from the sea.
Second course is Sashimi, but Gibson only see Caviar.
Third course is 5 pieces of sushi, mostly are fishes pairing with sea urchin and caviar, but there was an extra hand roll for us out of surprise, scallop wrapped with seaweed and served with Salmon roe and Caviar.
The last sushi was smoke on the spot, so Gibson decided to film the process.

Forth course is Chawan Mishi with Salmon roe, anything with Salmon roe is great to Gibson.
Fifth course is hot dish, a baked prawn.
Sixth course comes with a bowl of soup and hand roll, another dishes with Salmon roe, oh yeah!
The last course is dessert, Raindrop Cake with Sakura flower in it, as authentic as you can get.
