Finally we have a Michelin style seafood bar set up in Penang, Ostrea Oyster & Seafood Bar at The Edison Hotel, not just offering seafood bites that looking good, but the taste also finger licking good.

Gibson likes the idea that finally that is someone willing to put in effort to promote standard fine dining in Penang, not those tastelessly beautiful dishes, but creating and cooking dishes with freshyly air-flown ingredients, yet uniquely pairing and matching the flavours from the ingredients.

Ostrea Oyster & Seafood Bar is very new, so the menu is quite limited, but for those who loves Oyster, the bar offering 3 types of Oysters that air-flown from Scotland, namely the Fine de Claire, Loch Fyne Rock and Angel.

Gibson would recommends to try their Tasting Menu, but please bear in mind that this is seafood bites, it is not a dinner menu, but heavy enough to fill the cat stomach.

Seafood bites are best pairing with Champagne, wine or even cocktail, Ostrea Oyster & Seafood Bar got that covered, you can even opt for ordering a glass of house pour Champagne instead of the whole bottle from as low as RM40 per glass, but we had it with cocktail.
