Another Patisserie is just in town to serve high quality desserts with premium Tea products. Metisser Patisserie, as you can figure out the French accent from their name. And they are located at Ropewalk Piazza.
Metisser Patisserie just opened a few days ago and Gibson happened to visit their outlet the very next day of the opening. Though not many choices were available but they did surprise us with this Tarte au citron after we requested to try something special.
Tarte au citron RM14
It was without a doubt that the Tarte was beautifully done and Gibson liked the way they presented the dessert. However, it may be due to a last minute order, that the tarte was a bit too hard, and since it was made of lemon, it was a sour dessert.
Scones (2pcs) RM10
The surprise did not end with the tarte, as they were able to bake us some Scones that was served with mixed berries jam and cream, Gibson liked the crispy edges and the buttery fluffy texture inside, it could be due to the fact that was freshly baked on the spot.
They serve Harney & Sons, an American tea company founded in Salisbury, Connecticut in the year 1983. Some may find the tea better than TWG, but then they are totally in different range if you are a fan of TWG for their Tea Blends. So Gibson won’t compare it to TWG.
The table setting is simple yet classy.
This was how they served our tea.
Each order of Tea costs only RM12 and you are provided a constant refill of boiling water. A single pot of tea can serve approximately 5 cups.
We ordered the Japanese Sencha and Chamomile.
Caramel au Beurre Sale RM14
The cake is made of Salted Butter Caramel, but it tastes sour due to the fruit in the cake.
Opera Cake RM14
A cake with a touch of coffee and “Gold”.
It is a bit weird to say so, but strongly recommended to use their toilet, because it is provided with Crabtree & Evelyn handwash and cream to pamper the hands.
